Visiting Fellows

About the VisLab Visiting Fellows Program

The UQ Visualisation Lab welcomes visiting fellows, researchers, practitioners and collaborators whose work engages with digital twin technologies, immersive environments, spatial data, visualisation, virtual and augmented reality, and data-informed design processes.

The program supports short-term research visits and collaborative activities that contribute to VisLab’s research directions across architecture, urban design, planning, engineering, digital fabrication, environmental simulation and emerging technologies. Visiting Fellows are encouraged to engage with VisLab’s immersive visualisation facilities, including the Igloo 360 environment, VR and AR systems, spatial data workflows and experimental digital twin platforms.

VisLab particularly welcomes research interests that connect with immersive digital twins, live spatial data environments, AR/VR-supported design review, robotic fabrication and computer vision, environmental sensing, biofabrication simulation, and visual analytics for complex built environment challenges.

Visiting Fellows may contribute through research seminars, workshops, demonstrations, collaborative prototyping, student engagement, publications, exhibitions, grant applications or future project development.
