About Rachael McCall

Rachael McCall is currently faculty at SCI-Arc (Southern California Institute of Architecture) and lead designer at HDA-X Creative Agency, in Los Angeles. Rachael teaches graduate and post-graduate design studios and visual studies seminars at SCI-Arc and has lectured, reviewed and taught digital design workshops across the US and in China. Her work has been exhibited in solo shows in Los Angeles, as well as group shows in the USA, Australia, Greece, Sweden, Japan and the Netherlands. She has worked professionally in both Los Angeles and Brisbane, Australia.

Rachael completed her Master of Architecture II with distinction at SCI-Arc, where her thesis was awarded the Frank Gehry Prize for Best Graduate Thesis. As well as her thesis success, Rachael was the graduate winner of the 2015 American Institute of Architect’s Henry Adams Certificate for academic merit. Wallpaper Magazine, published in the UK, has nominated Rachael for their list of top architectural graduates worldwide.

Rachael also holds a professional Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Design Studies from the University of Queensland Australia, where she received several honours including the Board of Architects Queensland Prize, an Australian Institute of Architects Medallion, the Cox Rayner Architects Prize and the AE Brooks Travelling Scholarship.
