You are invited to join us for the 12th  instalment of the Architecture Alumni Webinar Series featuring Claire Humphreys - Associate and design lead at Kerstin Thompson Architects.

About Claire Humphreys

Claire Humpreys

Claire has been part of the Kerstin Thompson Architects studio since 2013 and has worked on a broad range of project typologies, scales and stages both at KTA and previously. In her role as a design leader she proactively encourages, directs and supports project teams with design management, explorations and resolution of design intents from early inception to construction.

Prior to KTA, Claire worked for a number of firms with a particular focus on social justice where she developed skills in community engagement and designing for marginalised groups. She has also previously operated as a sole practitioner - The Jule House,
completed in association with Kevin O’Brien, was awarded the AIA Brisbane House of the Year in 2015. Her work is collaborative and she is concerned with finding sensitive, compelling and elegant design strategies that synthesize personal, political and ecological threads.

Claire is an alumna of the University of Queensland, graduating in 2009 when she received the Queensland Institute of Architects
Memorial Medallion, the Peter Hale Cox Rayner UQ Prize for Architecture, and the Karl and Gertrude Langer Design prize. In 2011, she was awarded the A.E. Brooks travelling scholarship to visit Maggie’s Centres and women’s centres in the UK.
