UQ Here Now Talk Series is a partnership between State Library of Queensland and the UQ School of Architecture.
Featuring cutting-edge architects and leading design-thinkers who share their knowledge and challenge existing paradigms in the built environment, this series of talks will inspire you to discover more about contemporary architecture on the local and international stage.

Odile Decq, Studio Odile Decq (France)
Odile Decq is a French architect and urban planner. International renown came in 1990 with her first major commission: La Banque Populaire de l’Ouest in Rennes, France. Since then, she has been faithful to her fighting attitude while diversifying and radicalizing her research. She was awarded The Golden Lion of Architecture during the Venice Biennale in 1996 which acknowledged her early and unusual career.

Ana Luisa Soares, Fala Atelier (Portugal)
Fala Atelier is a young practice currently based in Porto. Faithful to their name, fala in Portuguese means informal conversation. The studio is internationally renowned for their poetic and naïve graphic style.
