On this page you'll find a selection of academic advice resources for students enrolled in programs managed by the School of Architecture, Design and Planning (ADP)
Once you have reviewed these resources, if you cannot find the answer to your question, you may need to make an appointment to see an Academic Advisor to assist you with planning your program.

Academic Advice
Prior to requesting an appointment with an Academic Advisor, please ensure you review the study plans above and check your program and course requirements by searching for your program and selecting your commencement year:
To arrange an appointment and include the following information:
- Student ID
- Program of study
- Year of study
- Contact telephone number
- Draft Study Plan/Self Progression Check (see below)
- Questions for the advisor
Self Progression Check
You are expected to know and understand your program rules during your enrolment at UQ. You can complete a self-progression check at any time by following the below steps:
- Print your studies report from mySI-net using the following steps:
- Log into mySI-net
- Select 'Enrolment & Timetables'
- Select 'Studies Report' in the left-hand menu
- Follow the prompts
- Navigate to Programs and Courses and select Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology Faculty.
- Ensure you have selected the year you commenced your program in the top right-hand side and click Change.
- Select your program from the listing
- View the program rules to view the requirements for your course e.g. if you need to select a major, if there are advanced level requirements etc.
- Select the green courses and requirements on the left-hand menu to access your course list.
- Compare your studies report to the course list:
- Tick off the courses you have passed
- Note the courses you are planning to complete in the future
- Ensure you have completed all compulsory and courses towards your major(s)
- Compare your completed checklist with the program rules again to make sure you have met all the requirements for your program.
