Dyan is a recognised leader in the field of government and the planning profession with extensive cutting edge national and international experience in the planning sector. Dyan is recognised internationally and nationally for her leadership in the profession and for her energetic commitment to the delivery of high-quality outcomes across a range of diverse fields. She offers managerial, team leading, technological and strategic skills of the highest calibre. Accomplished in strategy development and implementation, spatial analysis, development assessment, communication, economic development and political processes.

Dyan is the Founder and Principal of Dyan Currie & Associates – Cities Advisors where she specialises in strategic advice, assistance with preparation for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, assistance with leveraging the Sustainable Development Goals for cities and events as well as general Strategic Planning and management advice. Previously the Executive General Manager for the Brisbane 2032 Host City and Strategic Partnerships Branch, Dyan has worked with the IOC, UN Habitat and Brisbane 2032 Organising Committee and Games Delivery Partners. Dyan led the Council’s inputs into the successful proposal with other Games partners. She held the prominent position of Brisbane City Council’s City Planner for 7 years and was the Director of Planning and Environment at City of Gold Coast prior to BCC. Dy works with multiple local governments assisting with Strategic Advice and operational activities.
