Dr Steve Chaddock
Researcher biography
Steve holds degrees in Archaeology, BA(hons) (University of London), Museum Studies, MA (University of London) and Anthropology, PhD graduate (University of Queensland). He is a cultural heritage professional who has over 30 years experience in the sector.
In relation to sustainable development, his research brings novel attention onto the social and cultural dimensions of the material culture of collections and of the built environment. Steve is interested in developing an appreciation of value in material culture by drawing attention to both material and immaterial aspects, to the tangible and the intangible, and to the physical and the metaphysical. His athropological research brings focus onto the social, relational factors that influence cultural heritage interpretation in the modern state of Turkey.
