We invite you to join us to celebrate the achievements of the School of Architecture, Design and Planning's 2023 Bachelor of Architectural Design, Master of Architecture, and Bachelor of Design graduating cohorts.
This student-organised exhibition signals future aspirations and celebrates the agency of design as our students take a vital step in commitment to their careers through the presentation of Final Draft. This year we are also excited to feature our very first cohort of graduating Bachelor of Design students.
Light refreshments will be provided.

Final Draft theme
The design process in both architecture and design is iterative, leaving us students with an overwhelming “unfinished” feeling about our work. At the point of submission we aren’t submitting a final product, but a final draft - with a future of iterations ahead of the project.
The title also pays homage to the universal design experience of frantically saving your files as “final”, “FINALfinal”, “FINALfinal_final” and so on.
The idea is to not just capture the end product of our work from the year but also appreciate the process of how we got there with endless trace, feedback and iterations.
We also recognise that as students, we are graduating only as a “final draft” version of our respective journeys — a life-long learning process still ahead ofus. There will be plenty more development to be had in our futures - even so, this year we are leaving as UQ School of Architecture, Design & Planning’s “final draft“.

Car
Casual parking is available on campus, with the closest being Level 3 of Conifer Knoll car park (P11). Vehicle access to Conifer Knoll car park is currently via Sir William MacGregor Drive and Thynne Road. Use the Cellopark mobile app to pay for parking in this location.

The venue is a 10 minute walk from UQ Lakes Bus Station.
