Proposed plans to allow apartment buildings of up to 15 storeys in parts of Moreton Bay have sparked discussion about how South‑East Queensland should grow and Associate Professor Sonia Roitman has contributed to this public debate, bringing much‑needed clarity to what is a complex issue

Her comments in several media outlets underline a central reality for growing cities - with strong population growth, we can either keep spreading outward or start growing upward, and neither option is without consequences.
